Why You Need to Install a FloWatch System

A very concerning development within the residential sprinkler industry is the number of in-line valves that are discovered to be turned off during service calls. Up until now, there has been no legal requirement for a sprinkler system to be monitored.
The FloWatch 9251 is a bespoke fire sprinkler control and monitoring system that monitors flow switches, pump status and tank level – therefore eliminating this problem, and many other fire risks.
Although the main concerns are due to be addressed by a rewrite of the current British Standard for residential sprinkler systems, BS 9251, RAD is promoting the FloWatch solution before the change.
As a result, we are encouraging as many of our clients as possible to include this monitoring system as a part of all our larger installations moving forward.

Product Features

24 HOUR BATTERY BACKUP
A factory-fitted AGM rechargeable battery provides the FloWatch system with a 24-hour battery backup, just in case of any mains power failure. This excellent feature will give you total peace of mind at all times.

MONITOR FLOW SWITCHES
Flow switches can detect that water is flowing in the sprinkler system and must be monitored under current regulations. Using the FloWatch system ensures water is ready for immediate activation, should it be necessary.

AUDIBLE ALARM
An easily distinguishable and audible alarm will sound in the event of a sprinkler activation or a fault in the system. The FloWatch system ensures complete awareness of the activation of any aspect of the sprinklers.

PUMP FAULT MONITORING
Ensuring that pumps are ready for use is very important for safety. The FloWatch system will ensure that any pump fault in the sprinklers is monitored, for early detection so that preventative measures can be taken.

TANK LEVEL ALARMS
You can rest assured that you always have enough water as the FloWatch system constantly monitors for low levels of water within the sprinklers or combined tanks, and will sound an alarm to indicate if there is any failure within the water supply.

REMOTE BROWSER VIEWING
It is easy to travel and spend time away from the residence in complete safety by using FloWatch. You can view the status of the system remotely via your web browser and even set up email alerts if any alarm is triggered.
