RAD Firesprinklers Proposes Initiative to Kent Fire & Rescue
As a well-established business which has specialised exclusively in domestic and residential fire sprinkler systems for 16 years, we have been involved in literally hundreds of projects throughout the southeast of England. During this time it has become very apparent that maintenance of these systems is afforded a very low priority by the occupiers of these properties.
We think that many Fire & Rescue departments generally and especially the CFOA (Chief Fire Officer Association) are doing a great job endorsing a fire sprinkler system throughout the UK but we have noticed that very little is being done to encourage people to have these systems maintained once they have been fitted.
The problem is especially concerning when you consider the fact that 98% of our systems are fitted to compensate for a deficiency in conventional fire safety measures, for example, the lack of access for emergency vehicles to a property or a fire escape route within the property passing through a kitchen.
