What Is 2022’s Fire Sprinkler International Conference Focusing On?
The Fire Sprinkler International event will be hosted in London on the 31st of May and the 1st of June. In collaboration with the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA). The two-day event, hosted by the European Fire Sprinkler Network (EFSN), will provide and advocate for further, unrivalled knowledge about the fire sprinkler business.
The conference will be held at the Park Plaza on the London Riverbank and will include a number of educational sessions, including speeches from industry experts on water sprinkler system requirements and the most recent building rules.
But, what else will be discussed? There are a few main talking points that are to be focused on. Find out more from a fire sprinkler company and what you can do to help.
Water-Based Fire Suppression
The fire sprinkler industry has come a long way; as technology constantly advances and new systems are developed. That is why, this year at the Fire Sprinkler Conference, the main priority is focusing on water-based fire suppression systems and their future.
Water-based suppression systems release water onto flames through a generally fixed piping system, which is affordable and easily available. The type of system you need depends on the hazard or risk you want to protect.
Wet systems refer to fire suppression systems that utilise piping filled with pressurised water. Typically used in standard indoor areas such as residential. This focus on these types of systems could also be linked to the upcoming 5th anniversary of the tragic Grenfell disaster.
As more buildings and their responsible people are considering home fire sprinklers, it is important for those to know both the benefits and their importance. Another reason why the conference will be highlighting water-based suppression systems.
Environmental Benefits
At this year’s Fire Sprinkler Industry Conference, there is a wide range of subjects being discussed. According to the programme, one of the topics that are being focused on is the environmental aspects of installing sprinklers.
Although home fire sprinklers are primarily known for saving lives and property damage, did you know they can help lower the planet’s carbon footprint? Sprinkler systems in the home are a simple and effective technique to keep a fire from spreading.
Because they are automatic, the fire will be extinguished within minutes. The specialised sprinkler head will ensure that the fire does not spread. This means that installing a fire sprinkler system will lower the number of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere by fire.
According to FM Global, installing fire sprinklers in buildings can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 98%. If more buildings use these technologies, the planet’s carbon footprint will be reduced overall, especially in bigger commercial buildings.

RAD Fire Sprinklers
Here at RAD Fire Sprinklers, we promote and install fire sprinklers in buildings across the UK, including care homes and high-rise buildings. We understand the benefits of a sprinkler system. Both general and sustainable and work to the highest standards in the fire sprinkler industry.
